Product Review #1

I have recently opened 4 2017 Topps Series 1 jumbo hobby packs. Overall they were very good, the first pack that I opened I pulled a Corey Kluber single relic , in the second pack I pulled arguably the BEST card I have ever pulled when I pulled a Golden Ticket. A golden ticket is inserted in 1:21800 hobby packs and 1:4444 jumbo packs, they give you 1 or more one of a kind Topps Now cards on the date specified. The other two packs were fairly standard, the only good card I pulled from them was a BLACK parallel of Giancarlo Stanton back parallel #/66. All in all they were very good, and I feel like it was worth it.

2017 Topps museum collection

Each box contains 4 smaller mini boxes which contain 1 autograph or relic card in EACH ONE. In the full sized box you are due to receive: 1 Regular Autograph 1 Prime Relic 1 Quad Relic 1 Autographed Relic 1 Canvas Reprint A hobby box for 2017 Topps Museum Collection costs about $180- $250.

Famous sports cards

Over the last century or so there have been many iconic cards that have been released. The first one I am going to talk about is the 1909 HonusWagner baseball card. It was released by the American Tobacco company from 1909 to 1911, after that Wagner didn't want his card published, three were only 50 to 200 cards ever produced. One was sold to Ken Kendrick owner of the diamondbacks for $2.8 million. The second card I wanted to mention is the 1952 Mickey Mantle rookie card. It is very rare to find the card in near mint or mint condition, there are also two different prints of the card. The third and final card I want to mention is the 1979 Wayne Gretzky rookie card. It is a very sensitive card, and is easily damaged, so it makes it hard to find a card in good condition. One recently sold for $465 000 in auction. These are 3 of the most iconic cards produced over the last century or so. Stay tuned for more product analysis, reviews, tips and tricks, as well as much more!! For the fu...

2017 Topps Gypsy Queen baseball

On March 29 Topps will be releasing their 2017 Gypsy Queen series. In each hobby box there will be 24 packs of 8 cards, for a total of 192 cards. In each hobby box there will also be 2 autographs, 1 box topper and 7 inserts. In this set there will be purple parallels, hobby box only black and white parallels #/50, and black inserts #1/1. This year there will be chewing gum mini autographs, which are inspired by the old chewing tobacco cards, there are also autograph garments that feature a relic and an on card autograph. There apparently won't be  mini cards inside of every pack and there will be a glassworks chrome box topper instead of a mini box topper. There are many great products to discover in this set when it gets released.Make sure to stay tuned for more product analysis, reviews, tips and tricks, and much more!!

Blaster Box vs Hobby box

When you perchase cards whether it's in store or online all the packs come in boxes, in this post I will tell you the difference between hobby boxes and blaster boxes. The first difference is in the price, hobby boxes tend to be a lot more expensive than blaster boxes, which leads me to the second difference. The second difference Is the amount of cards that you get. Hobby boxes tend to contain more cards and often have relics or autographs inside. Blaster boxes generally contain more base cards and an occasional parallel, while hobby boxes have more parallels and you are a more likely to receive a relic or an autograph. I hope that this was helpful, as usual make sure to stay tuned for more product analysis, reviews, and much more!!

The different types of cards

For those who are new to collecting, there are a few different types of cards to collect. There are base cards, which are just the standard cards with nothing special about them. Then there are parallel cards, which look exactly like the base cards but are a colour, and have a limited quantity made. A parallel will have numbers signifying the total number of cards made and the number of you're card. An example of this is a card being numbered 34/50. Then there are the rarest which are autographs and relics. These cards are generally heavier and thicker than base or parallel cards. There is a good chance autographs and relics won't be found in blaster boxes( I will write about these later)but there is a good chance you will find one in a hobby box( I will write about these later too). I hope that this was helpful to those who are just starting out, as usual make sure to stay tuned for more product analysis, reviews, and much more!!

Soccerstarz

I know this is a sports card blog, where I discuss well... sports cards but today I wanted to change it up. I have discovered soccerstarz which are 2 inch mini soccer figures. They look almost exactly like most of the players that are featured. The players come on a variety of different coloured bases, based on their rarity. The most common is green, but there is also blue, red, white, silver, gold, black, new this year yellow bases, and bronze and orange which are extremely rare( about 0.1 percent of the collection). There are blister packs which are basically packages where you can see which player you are receiving. There are blind bags where you cannot see the player that you're receiving, the player comes on a random coloured base. Finally there are team packs, these are when you have 15-24 players in a pack, generally celebrating a title of some sort. If you are a soccer fan I highly suggest you check them out. As usual be sure to stay tuned for more in depth product analysis,...

How to properly take care of your cards

Taking care of your cards is crucial to make sure they don't get damaged. If you want your cards protected, I highly suggest going to your local card shop or EBay or Amazon and get some card sleeves. If you don't know what sleeves are plastic protectors which make sure that your cards remain crisp with no creases and no stains occur on the card. There are different sizes of sleeves, there are larger ones to hold your relics or autographs, and regular sized ones for base or parallel cards. There are also top loaders which is unlike the sleeves because it has a hard, yet flexible exterior. Generally the sleeeve gets placed inside of a top loader for maximum protection. Finally if you have a very valuable card you can get what is called a one touch holder. This is a holder that when it gets magnetically closed, it keeps all UV rays out. I would only use it for very valuable cards as they are much more expensive. Please stay tuned for more product analysis, reviews, tips and tricks...

How YOU can tell if there is a relic or autograph In a pack

Many people often wonder if there is a relic or autograph in the pack that they are purchasing. There is two specific ways to tell. If you're going through a box and you want to know if a pack has a relic or autograph, feel the thickness of the pack. If one pack feels thicker than the rest, there is a good chance that there is a relic or autograph. If the pack also feels heavier there is also a good chance that there is a relic or autograph. If this was helpful please share it with someone else who you know is a fan of card collecting. Please stay tuned for product analysis, reviews, and more!!
